The sea ice continues to break away and has released its' hold on a few icebergs that are still locked into place, frozen to the sea floor.
This ice edge is usually sprinkled with small groups of Adelie or Emperor penguins, always a treat to see.
The Wright Valley with ice falls pouring off in the distance, colorful layers of rock forming the walls and dunes of sand on the valley floor.
Melt pools are starting to form on the sea ice in the most amazing shades of blue...

It's Monday, the start of another fast-paced week. I think we are all ready for a slow down around the holidays!
